... met some of its creators ( from zagreb) last fall and are really deep-thinking net culture pioneers !
i haven't really listened much cause it seemed to be primarily electro sounds w/o much of an "ethno-flavor", and my focus (as dj) was ...and is... a little more oriented to the roma and balkan sounds...but i love when a fusion occurs between the electronica and the folk. ( i.e. Balkan Beat Box, Bast, Volga and lots of the polish dub scene )
so i haven't sorted thru these yet to see if there were such occurrences.
maybe if someone out there finds something of this nature you can alert me.
I happened to see Egoboo at a conference in Budapest which happened in connection with a new european office for creativecommons.org , which if yur not familiar, is a much needed alternative to copyright rules which favor big industry and not the authors and artists which produce the work.
And with Egoboo it was really exciting to see them taking the next steps to expand the possibilities for DIY / self-distro.
check em out !
