My grandparents came from Croatia. That aside, I know very little. A friend of mine recently returned from Zagreb and had some amazing pictures and stories to tell (see www.nowhereville.org). Someday, I hope to travel there. Have you been? What is your connection to Croatia?

Though I love Michigan (the area), the people can be dissapointing. I think it has something to do with the long winters or maybe it's all the fresh water and fish... I can definitely relate to your comment about not taking advantage of our economic stregnth. This is one reason I wish to leave the country for a short tour. Our richness as a nation has spoiled us. I know this is old news, but it's sad when we're so stagnant becuase we're afraid of change and what a lack of wealth and power would mean to us.

Tell me about New York (state). I'm looking at moving to Seneca Falls in the next couple of years to attend NYCC. How long have you lived in NY/NJ?
